Local Bible Study Groups

Each year free courses are run which explain the Christian faith. This is an opportunity to find out more about Christianity and the Bible, and is open to students of any nationality or religious background.


Bible Study for International Women

Tuesdays 9:30am - 11:30am; meeting at 68 Coulston Road, Lancaster, LA1 3AE. Starts 9th January, meeting weekly except for during half term and Easter holidays.

An Exploring Christianity course for International Women who wish to find out more or deepen their faith.

International Real Food and Exploring Christianity Groups

Tuesdays 6:00pm - 8:00pm; meeting at Moorlands Church Building, Dumbarton Road, LA1 3BX.

A meal shared together followed by a Bibe study. For Christians and those interested in finding out more about what Christians believe. Run by Moorlands Church.

Every Wednesday 7pm - 9:30pm; meeting at St Thomas' Church Centre, Lancaster, LA1 1XX. Meal served at 7:00pm, followed by a Bible study from 8:00pm - 9:00pm and prayer 9:00pm-9:30pm. Starts Wednesday 14th January and runs until Wednesday 18th March.

A relaxed and friendly group for students with a group specifically for international students. You don't need to know anything about the Bible and you won't be asked to pray out loud or sing. You can ask any question you like, or you can just sit and listen.

Alpha Course

Every Wednesday 7:00pm - 9:00pm; meeting at St Thomas' Church, Lancaster, LA1 1XX. Meal served at 7:00pm. Starts Wednesday 21st February and runs every Wednesday until 16th May (except Wednesdays 4th and 11th April).

The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith. There is a meal together at the beginning of each session. Listen, learn, discuss and discover. Ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.

Who is Alpha for? Alpha is for everyone, especially: those wanting to investigate Christianity, new Christians, newcomers to church, and those wanting to brush up on the basics.

The course and meal are free. No need to book; just turn up!

Campus Bible Talks

Short talks looking at what the Bible says about the big questions of life. These take place regularly, with an opportunity to ask questions and refreshments provided.
